What the price difference looks like
MarketMan's published plans start at $249 a month (Starter, 50 invoice scans) and $299 a month for unlimited scans. ChopOps is $99 USD per location a month with unlimited invoices. For a single location on MarketMan's Growth plan, that's $200 a month, or $2,400 a year, less. Check MarketMan's page for how they price additional locations.
What ChopOps doesn't do (yet)
We'd rather you know up front. ChopOps doesn't connect directly to your POS (you import a daily sales CSV), doesn't sync to accounting software, and doesn't pay your bills. It also doesn't run payroll or scheduling. If any of those are must-haves, MarketMan or another tool may suit you better.
What every ChopOps location gets
- Invoices read from a photo or PDF, with ingredient prices updated
- Recipe and menu costing with live food cost %
- Inventory counts on your phone, expected vs actual usage, and a waste log
- Labour cost next to daily sales, and prime cost on the dashboard
- Purchase orders, SOPs, daily task lists, and food safety records and temperature logs
- Multiple locations with an "All locations" view, team roles, and 12 CSV exports
Frequently asked questions
Is ChopOps cheaper than MarketMan?
Based on MarketMan's published prices (checked October 2026), yes: ChopOps is $99 USD per location a month. See the table above for their current figures, and check their site, since prices change.
Does ChopOps connect to my POS?
Not directly yet. You import daily sales from the CSV export your POS already makes, which takes about a minute. If automatic POS sync is a must for you, that's a real reason to choose a tool that has it.
Can I switch to ChopOps from another tool?
Yes. Start the free trial, upload a few recent invoices so ChopOps builds your ingredient list with current prices, then add recipes for your best sellers. Most owners can see a real food cost in the first week.
