How many hours can you schedule this week?

Enter your sales forecast for each day and your labour target. See your labour budget and the hours you can schedule each day before you build the schedule.

These are example numbers. Replace them with your forecast.

1Sales forecast

Start with the same week last year or your average for the last 4 weeks, then adjust for events and weather.

2Labour target & costs

Total labour as a % of sales
Wage plus payroll taxes and benefits
Their cost for the week

How it’s calculated

Daily budget = forecast sales × labour target. Salaried pay is spread evenly across the week, and what’s left is divided by your average hourly cost.

Schedule to the forecast

Build the schedule from these hours, then check it against real sales each day. Cut or send people home early on slow days.

Keep minimum staffing

Some shifts need a minimum crew no matter what. If a slow day comes up short, take the hours from your busiest days.
